New Account Username is chained to Old Account Username?

I recently signed up for a new account (the one I am currently posting with). However, I noticed in the “My Public Profile” page of the admin panel that the username for my old account is showing up in the username box under Basic Details. Shouldn’t my current username be shown in its place? When I edit this page the settings for my old account is being updated to the same settings as my new account.

I would like to have both accounts completely separate from one another. I was under the impression that we cannot change the account username but we can however create a new account with a different username. I also notice the same problem for a third account I am not currently using. Would I be able to get a little help with this?

Speaklikeochild is the new username (with no blog). I’ll contact support regarding the old blog and username. Thanks.
