  Hi,

  I have tried to use the xmpp feed for new post content, I ran the curl command and published new posts but could not see them in the stream from xmpp.

  I looked into Data sift but I cannot afford $5000 a month for one API. I would just like to know when new posts are published with certain key words.

  What is the best way to achieve this please?

  @nealberry10 just noting as well, you’re also welcome to follow tags in our reader:

  For example if you wanted to look for WordPress.com tagged poetry, use this:
  https://wordpress.com/tag/poetry

  thanks but google alerts takes 4-6 weeks to crawl wordpress, not exactly up-to-date.

  I have found the best way to do it us use the wordpress search feature and then create an rss of the results and when they get updated.

  Glad you were find something that works well for you. You are also able to follow several tags in the reader if you’d like. Good luck!
