New and confused

  Hi :) I’m new (never blogged before) and somewhat confused. I’ve posted my first blog entry but I’m not sure I did everything right and I am unclear about tags. I’ve searched the FAQs but still confused. Do I add tags that I think are important from within my post? Also, how do I get the subheading “tags” to show up on my sidebar or do I even need to do that? Lastly, once I publish a post do I have to do anything else to it? If someone could take a peek and give me some feedback I’d really appreciate it!

  Oh one last question…how do I find other people’s blog?

  Yes, you just add whatever tags you think are relevant to the content. Don’t add more than 10 or 12 or you’ll be excluded from the global tag pages.

  Put the Tag Cloud widget in your sidebar and it’ll show up. If you click on the tags on your blog posts, you’ll go to the global tag pages and you can find people talking about the same subjects. You can also use the Next blog button on your admin bar on the top right hand corner.
