New and have a few questions
-
Hi, I have a few questions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
-Is there a limited number of pictures and videos I can post?
-How do I make my own layout? I only see a option to select one that’s already there.
-**And how do I edit my sidebar?
Thanks!

Please provide the URL of your blog when you ask a question here (or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky “8 Things to Know”). We get a lot of wrong visits, so first we need to make sure it’s a wp.COM blog (our answers may not apply to wp.ORG blogs, and they’ve got their own separate forum). Second, we often need to check things in the blog itself to find out what the problem is or which solution will do. (And we’re not obliged to try and see if your nick is also the name of the blog in question – which isn’t always the case anyway.)
1. There’s no limit to what you can POST: there’s a limit to what you can UPLOAD in the media library of your blog. Without the paid space upgrade, that’s 3GB of files.
2. In a free wp.com blog you can only use one of the available themes. Several of them allow you to upload a custom image header of your own, and a few have an option for selecting color schemes. If you buy the CSS upgrade and know what to do with it, you can modify the appearance of a theme, or build an essentially new one with Sandbox as a basis.
3. Items in the sidebar are controlled by the so-called Widgets (Appearance > Widgets > Add > Save Changes). But the content of some of them (links, for instance) is managed elsewhere.

Thank you! The link to my blog is http://totallydavid.wordpress.com
I have one more question about the sidebar, how do I add stuff to it. Like for example I want to add my own calender. Just like this below. How do I do that?
Calendar
01/20- David Will Attend The Inauguration
02/09- iCarly airs with DavidThanks so much! :)

You mean plain text like that? In Text widgets. But you may need some html formatting for line breaks etc.
Note that, in contrast to several other widgets, you can add multiple Text widgets. Also note that you can rearrange the order of the items in your sidebar by dragging the widgets to new positions (always clicking Save Changes afterwards).

Hi David,
I am currently using the same theme as your blog (Ocean Mist) and was able to make some changes as i bought the css upgrade.
