New and Old blogs tied together

    Hi,

    I want to delete https://agscottblog.wordpress.com and start all over but it somehow is tied to my old blog https://ramblinann.wordpress.com/. I know that I tied them together through “users” making ramblinann an admin. How do I disconnect them so that agscottblog can be deleted and I can start over using overthehillhomesteading.wordpress.com?

    Hi there,

    Those sites are not linked together in any way. Even if one account has access to both sites, each site is a completely separate entity, and deleting one site won’t have any effect at all on the other site.

    To delete a site, just make sure you’re logged in as an admin on the site. Go to My Sites ->Switch Site, and select the site you want to delete. Then go to Settings ->General. The option to delete the site is at the bottom of that page.

    Ok I went in and deleted the new blog but now my profile says I do not have any blogs. How do I get back into my original blog? https://ramblinann.wordpress.com/

    I can read it but not log in to do anything.

    This was what I was afraid was going to happen.

    I can’t see https://ramblinann.wordpress.com/ connected to this account.

    Do you have access to multiple WordPress.com accounts?

    If yes, you would need to login to the account that manages this site.

    Hi,

    Originally this account was tied to a free email account that came from godaddy with my domain. Then godaddy did away with the free email and I couldn’t get back into that email address so after months of fighting with them it got switched to my personal email address which is a gmail address, the same that was tied to the blog that I just deleted.

    This wouldn’t possible, as you’re only allowed to use one email address per account with WordPress.com.

    Do you have another account using a different email address?

    Thank You Thank You Thank You. I read your response last night and it got me thinking back to the last time I actually wrote anything. I woke up in the middle of the night and remembered that I had used a different username because of the problem with the original email account.

    I found the old password and managed to log in to https://ramblinann.wordpress.com/

    Now I have to clean that all up so I don’t get all screwed up again.
