new and unsure

This is my first blog and I’m stumbling around in the dark. Any help welcome.
I have a feeling that my blog entries are a little too long. Is there an ideal length? Should I add more widgets? Do I need lots of photographs? (because that isn’t my strong suit) How often should I blog?
Basically is my blog interesting or not?
