New apperence of WordPress and the logout option
-
I can’t find the logout button in new apperence of WordPress.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

On your New Dash profile page, https://wordpress.com/me/public-profile/ below your gravatar, the words “sign out” appear.
Certainly not intuitive.

Thank you JustJennifer and RainCoaster (unfortunatelly I don’t go to forum much, didn’t know of it’s existence really :P)
It’s relly bad modification of WordPress. Earlier it was better when the menu was showing when I move cursor on the icon. But now I have to click on the gravatar and then under gravatar there is Sign out.
WordPress should change it.
And can someone tell WordPress to make it easier to go into ‘All posts’ I don’t like to click so much to edit my posts and I don’t want to login with a specific link (to all pages)
-
Thanks justjennifer. I was trying to click the tiny gravatar on the top admin bar but that didn’t work.
-
WOW, that is very lame. I thought it was illegal to hide the logout button that far away from the main user page.
-
OK, it’s still there on the blog posts in the upper right on the Admin bar.
I don’t use it often as I clear my cookies and that takes care of logging out here and everywhere else at the same time.

-
Also: no comment notifications when looking at the blog, ONLY when looking at the dashboard. If I am on the dashboard, I can already see them under COMMENTS.

Another badly thought out change. Ooop, I used the word thought when there clearly was none!

Thanks to those who have been helpful here. My gravatar isn’t even showing up in Firefox so I have no option to log out. I know it takes a while to adapt to change, but visibility is one of the most important principles of good design, and the recent trend of hiding important functions many clicks deep (or behind vague icons) is unintuitive and inconvenient.
I don’t know if anyone from WordPress reads these forums, but if you do, please consider changing this.

Ghostery was blocking the gravatar, I can see it now. However, still, make the log out button visible please!
I also agree with raincoaster about comment notifications, and with qavtan about “all posts.”

Navigation on WordPress has never been all that easy for all the various pages we need to check on to maintain an active blog. I use bookmarks for all those pages so it ‘s one click to get to wherever I need to go to next.
The “new” logout is so poorly designed.
@icydaylight: Good to hear you are using Ghostery. I highly recommend it. I also use Privacy Badger.

dev 1: Any bright new ideas?
dev 2: Yup. Let’s hide the “sign out” button in the dash. We’ll stick it where it’ll take ’em half an hour to find it. Just imagine (giggle).
dev 1: Do it. Stat. -
I have to say, in the old style that I am still using(I don’t like the new style and anyway the new style in Persian is just junk), there is absolutely no buttons left anywhere to log out? It was very easy before, at the ribon at the top, at the left side.
Whoever designed these new changes has to go to university again and learn about web design. I can’t imagine anybody even a little familiar with web and internet could make such a strange and unfriendly change. Please bring back the old style log out, especially for those of us still using the old style of wordpress.
