New black bar at bottom of blog won't go away!

  Thank you for the words of advice everyone, I realised after posting this that, why would the black bar disappear just because I paid for no ads! Though from theme to theme for the template design it varies on how subtle they are with the branding for the designer..so just picked one now where the branding’s tiny!

  Do note that at some point virtually all themes here will have the infinite scrolling, which means the black bar looms in your future.

  I do think the support docs should be clearer that each upgrade applies only specifically to what it says.

  Thank you to everyone who replied. I hadn’t realized that infinite scrolling had been applied to my theme (another example of “improvements” that are implemented without notice), and that was why the black bar had suddenly appeared.
