  Hello everyone!

  So I want to start up another blog and make it its own domain through WordPress (ex. mysite.com instead of mysite.wordpress.com). However the username is being used as a wordpress site(ie. mysite.wordpress.com). The domain is free though. I’m lost on what I should do. Any help? Also im sorry if that was really confusing!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi! If the username is taken, the site name will be reserved for that individual. But if you’re adding a custom domain anyway, you can use anynameyoulike.wordpress.com and it will be replaced by your custom domain. Let us know what you’d like to do!

  I created a blog without the word ‘blog’ in it. Thinking this was a mistake, I redid it, using the same title, and added the word ‘blog’. This created two separate blogs. I was told I could just decide which one I wanted to post to and ignore the other one. The problem is that Google search brings up the one (without word ‘blog’) that I am not posting to. If I delete it will I lose follow requests, and can I be sure the Google search will then move to the site that is left?

  @alleghenyautumn2013 are you hoping to merge the two sites? We can help you migrate followers over, but I would personally keep the site that is already getting search engine attention. You can put the word blog in the site title without it having to appear in the URL.
