New blog address did not replace old one on web searches

New blog address did not replace the old one on web searched. When I type in a topic in the search bar, the old blog address shows up. SO, when someone clicks on it, it says that the blog has been cancelled (or whatever it says). Shouldn’t it automatically have changed my blog address from themysticalmansion.wordpress.com to themysticalmansionandgarden.wordpress, com?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your new blog address has zero googlejuice because it is new. Pagerank accrues to URLs and when you change it, everything changes and you start again from scratch.

GEEZ! SO, all the people that were looking at my blog won’t know it has changed because now when they type in The Mystical Mansion and Garden, it still shows up with the old address… I tried it. Now I can’t change it back.

SO, how do I fix the fact that everything on the internet is still showing up with he old blog address. When I first started the blog, everything showed up perfectly. Will I have to re-post every page or what. So, everything on the internet just stays there without being visible? Man, did I screw up! Even if people type in The Mystical Mansion and Garden, it shows up with the old address… Is there a way to correct this?

    themysticalmansion.wordpress.com is no longer available.

The authors have deleted this site.

Since you deleted the site – you are sort of stuck – had you just transferred content and kept the old site you could have gotten a site redirect upgrade to send traffic from old site to new site – not sure if there was a redirect option in the what I assume is a rename a blog feature

I thought when someone typed in The Mystical Mansion and Garden, the new address (www.themysticalmansionandgarden,wordpress.com) would show would just automatically show up. Instead, the old one (www.themysticalmansion) is till showing up. Another weird thing, my private blog was became visible sometime in April and I didn’t know it till yesterday. I didn’t make it public. SO, I had to fix that, too. I will probably just delete that one. What I need to know, is how do I make the 185 pages, 69 posts, and 453 approved comments visible again under the new http://www.themysticalmansionandgarden.wordpress.com site…. If I knew this was going to happen, I would not have done it. Now that it is done, I can’t change it back. I have over 200 more pages to add and all the plant pages already there need updating. I haven’t had internet since 2009, so I have a lot of work to do… It is awesome, but I screwed up!

If you do change your blog address, permalinks to your old address, including search engine results, will be broken unless you purchase a Site Redirect upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

Without purchasing either a site upgrade or domain mapping and it’s too late to do that now, every link to the indexed content in the original blog is broken and returns a 404 (page not found). Note that the Google URL removal tool cannot be used in this case.

    7. The final option presented on this screen allows you to discard your current address. This option will permanently disable the address and you will not be able to reuse it. Only select this option if you are sure you will not use the address again. If you want to redirect traffic to the new blog, you can keep the address and purchase the Site Redirect upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

It will take search engines about 3 – 4 months to re-index the content under the new URLs.

Sorry but that was stated right up front in the support doc I linked to for changing a blog address. The authority and page rank earned by the original URLs belongs to them and as you did not purchase either a site direct upgrade or domain mapping the new URL starts from zero authority and page rank.
