New Blog Can’t get dashboard
-
I just registered for a new blog ((email visible only to moderators and staff)), got the email with activation link. When clicked, I got a page saying the email was already used (impossible). i then refresh the page and it then said my blog was ready to use and to check my email for a password – it never came, so I used the password rest and did get a new password email.
Now when I log in i can’t get to te admin section. Every link in the top bar as well as typing in http://chonk.wordpress.com/wp-admin takes my to the http://www.wordpress.com page.
I am on a mac and have tried using FF 0.9, safari 2.04 and IE 5.2. i will go and DL the new FF and Opera and try those, but don’t think its the problem

I’m having the exact same problem. I’m using a PC, and have tried accessing my admin panel with IE 6 and FF 1.5 to no avail. I’ve even tried altering the security settings and it still didn’t work.
I assume they might be fixing something or having some other problems. I could be wrong, though. Either way, it might be a good idea to wait a day or two and try again.
If you get it to work, let me know.

If you are having a problem please report it to staff by emailing support @ this domain.
WordPress works well with Firefox 2, Opera 9 and IE 7. If you are not running the above, please do. Old browsers and new code tend not to mix so well – and wp does not support every browser in every version. IE 6 has problems.

I am also having the same problem. I created my blog tonight. I can log in and see the blue bar, but can not get access to the admin pages.

This problem is affecting a lot of people. We have identified the cause, and are working on a solution. There is a sticky on the forums front page.
