New blog created for me without me asking

  I updated my Gravatar profile name and now I have a new WordPress site under that (my own) name. I don’t want this site right now, I didn’t ask for it, and it will confuse people searching for me when they find it empty. However, when going to delete it I’m told I will never be able to use this user name again. Any solutions anyone?

  Sorry we missed your post.

  When you sign up for an account on WordPress.com, we automatically create a blog that matches your username, so that you have that blog name reserved. It’s okay if you don’t ever use it, but it’s there if you do decide to blog with us.

  It looks like you have set your blog to “private”, which is exactly what I would have recommended.
