New blog link to another blog

  I’m trying to create a page that links to another blog site. The themes I’m working with don’t seem to allow me to do this. I’ve tried creating Custom Menus, but if I change my theme these disappear and the ‘home’ site says it doesn’t exist. This is for pencilfirst.wordpress.com and I’m trying to link to the blog findcalistahere.wordpress.com

  This works in all themes that feature a top menu. When you switch to a different theme, you just go to Appearance > Menus and select your custom menu again from the Theme Locations pulldown.
