New Blog Linked to Existing Blog/User Name

  I’m not sure how to explain this, but will try. I was setting up a blog for a friend and forgot that I was logged in for the blog that I maintain for our church. I added the new blog and domain and now the new blog is tied to the user name for the church blog and should not be.

  I changed the Display Name for the new blog, but that changes the Display Name for the church blog also, so I know I can’t change the user name. Since I paid for a domain for this new site, I don’t want to delete the blog and start over. There are no posts, so deleting it wouldn’t be a problem, but I am not sure how that would affect the domain registration.

  Can anyone give me any guidance on how I can straighten this out? I really wanted to work on this for them today, but can’t now.

  Thank you so much! I really appreciate the help.

  I found that you can transfer a blog, but domain upgrades don’t move with them, so I think a WordPress staff member will need to make the change … I think. :-)

  I have accepted the fact that I won’t be able to make any progress on this today, so I will try again tomorrow after work.

  How long does it usually take to hear back from WP staff support? I submitted the form, but haven’t had a response and I really need to get this resolved.
