New blog/old editor/block editor

I am thinking of setting up a new blog but I have seen here in the forum that you get the new block editor with a new blog. I use the old editor on this current blog so if I set up a new blog would I still be able to use the old editor, or would I be lumbered with that awful block thing?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@waletras in most cases you’ll have the classic block within the block editor at this point.
If you’re running into an issue with blocks, can you send more details so we can get that resolved?

OK. I haven’t actually got any specific problem with the blocks I just don’t like them and prefer the older editor as it makes more sense. Thank you.

It is not longer possible to enable the full classic editor on your site, but you can use the “Classic block” which is essentially a way to drop the old editor inside of the new one.
Any content you enter within the classic block as the same toolbar and formatting options you are used to, so as long as you work within that block, you will be able to use the same classic editor you are accustomed to.
