  how can i turn off the notification i get by email when someone i follow posts on their blog. i have over 2k emails in my inbox!

  On this page at the very bottom of the page you can block the email:
  https://wordpress.com/me/notifications

  Block Emails
  __Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com
  “save changes”
