New blog posts won’t show up on home page

  I’m having a problem where when I post a new blog post it’s live (as in people can search for it on my site and find it) but the home page no longer updates to show that there is a new post. I didn’t change any settings, it’s the same as it has been for years. I’m on the most recent version of WordPress, I already tried clearing all the caches I could find on WordPress and with my host, double checked that the homepage is set to display latest posts in the reading settings, and changed to a different theme, with the same result. All other pages reflect the theme change, but the home page is stuck in the old theme showing the most recent post as May 15, 2024 despite having published several since then.
