New blog set up

We are trying to set up a new blog and not good at this. Have selected bluesnail2 as our free blog (for now). What address do we use to give friends to look up? The mountain theme we chose does not come up, or it does sometimes. We have tried bluesnail2.wordpress.com. can you look at the account and let us know how far off we are and what we need to do to get set up properly?? Hey! I’d love to help you out, let’s start with the easy stuff.
The URL for your blog is bluesnail2.wordpress.com. That’s what you’ll give out to friends so they can read your blog.
Now, for the mountain theme you chose, when you say it comes up sometimes, what do you mean: it loads correctly sometimes, and other times it loads a different theme? Looking at your blog now, it looks like you’re using the Publication theme. Please let me know what the theme seems to be doing, so I can help you out better!
There are also some really helpful articles available, including this one on themes. It might answer your question; if it doesn’t, please let me know and I’ll help out as best as I can!

Thank you for responding. I see we have selected publication as a theme, I just can't get another free one to replace it. Still doing something wrong, do I go to a different place to replace a theme?
I read your info…must be missing something or making itntoo difficult.
Also, I may have set up a separate blog by accident under bluesnailblog. Maybe this is causing a problem. If so, how do I delete that one?
Please advise again. Thank you

Hey!
To replace a theme, login to your WordPress account, then make sure you’re in the My Site control panel (top left-hand corner). In the left-hand toolbar that comes down, there will be a section that says Personalize, and under that the section for Themes; if you click on it, it’ll give you the list of all available Themes; Free as well as Paid. There’s a drop down in the right hand corner that you can switch from All to Free.
You can also search for specific themes if there’s one you’re looking for; with themes there’s no right or wrong answer, it’s all a matter of preference. Try a few free themes out until you find one you like! I went through a half-dozen before I settled on one.
There is a blog currently set up under bluesnailblog, but it looks like it’s really old (hasn’t been updated since November 2012.
If that is your blog, log into it, go to My Site, then Settings all the way at the bottom; from here, you can scroll the right-hand pane all the way down and Delete Site from there.

Was not able to replace the theme. Did as you said but publication remains. Also, went through delete process for the other one and at last box delete button will not highlight to complete the job, even after confirming desire to delete.

I just checked your blog, it looks like it’s switched to the Coherent theme. Is that what you were trying to switch it to?
As for deleting your old account, I’m not really certain what the trouble is with not letting it delete. There’s an article with the steps to delete it located here. Is it using a Premium theme, or on a paid plan? If so, it looks like those have to be disabled/canceled before you can delete the site.
