New blog url address with odd word
-
I am trying to start a new free blog and when I get to the part about giving my blog an address, it only gives me the choice of xxxx.travel.blog. Why is it doing that and how do I get a regular url like xxxx.wordpress.com?
I don’t want to talk about travel and don’t really want travel in the url.

Hi,
When you get to the, Give your site an address, screen the first options display choices for if you wanted to pay for and use a custom domain. Directly below that is the free xxx.wordpress.com address that you can use.

Yes, it’s that free option below the paid choices that says travel.blog
If I can find a place to post a picture, I’ll show you what I am talking about.

I finally got it done by trying with two different email addresses. With the first one, I was given the free option of xxxx.video.com which was even weirder than the travel.com one. But with the second email, it came up with wordpress.com.
I have no idea why wordpress is doing this and making it so hard.
