New blogger (completely ignorant) wanting to add google analytics to blog

  I have read many online articles showing me how to do this, but I have absolutely no background in web design/coding etc…

  I first tried inserting the code in the editor section, but I dont have that section.

  Then I inserted it in a text widget in the footer, but the code was visible in the footer of each page.

  please help!

  You can’t add Google Analytics to a WordPress.COM blog

  The instructions you see to add it are for WordPress.ORG install blogs
