New changes to Stats page on my iPad
-
Two days ago I noticed changes on my Stats page on my iPad. Horrendous changes. Previously everything was neat and compact and easy to scan. Now we have a page with huge blue lines under everything, unnecessary icons and general clutter. It’s awful. The iPad screen isn’t a huge desktop. Not only are the changes hard on the eyes, the scroll feature jumps around madly and there are text overlays. A lot of bugs. I just want the neat clean uncluttered format. Why mess with a perfectly working system.? Please give us a choice!

Hi nikkitytom,
and there are text overlays. A lot of bugs.
It would be great if you could make a screenshot of the text overlap you are seeing. If you upload it to the Media Library, I can take a closer look at what is happening.

Does the scrolling issue only affect a particular area of the app? For example, when typing the contents of a post or page. Or is there another area where this occurs?
It would also be useful to know which version of the app is installed and your operating system version number — the second piece of information can be found on supportdetails.com.
Let’s go from there…

Thanks.
The overlap begins when I click onto the first page of stats. The list of views is repeated a couple of times then the overlap of everything else starts up. Until everything closes. I’m not typing anything, just clicking onto the stats.
I have photos of the overlaps … where do I send or post them?
My operating system is iOS 11.1.2. Not sure what version I have, but I know it will be one of the earlier ones. I avoid upgrades.
Thanks for your help.

We can’t promise support for older operating systems.
I can confirm that I’m not seeing the problem as described on my iPad running iOS 12.3.1 with the WordPress iOS app 12.6.1.
I recommend upgrading to iOS 12.3.1, and if you still have the same problems, please let us know.

Thanks for your patience … I tried without success to upgrade . My IPad put up a ferocious battle and refused to download the upgrade. Finally I made an appointment with the Apple store and today the problem was fixed. I’m now upgraded to iOS 12.3.1.
So when I got home I promptly tried the sites … now no dreadfully obvious overlaps. But I can’t say I like the bulky format. Too many additions. I don’t like the unnecessary “percentage” numbers, nor the excess dividing lines … too much clutter. IPads aren’t big desktop screens … they’re tiny. Excess elements are just confusing. I’d cast my vote for the old neat format.
But I’m very happy to have been nudged into upgrading my system
Thanks

We’ll relay your feedback to our mobile app team. I’m afraid that’s the most I can do for now, but I can promise you the team always listens to and considers feedback like this.
