New Club Info Site

  Hi,

  I have been tasked with creating an information site for a club I am involved in and as I am familiar with using WordPress for a personal blog I am hoping to use it again for this club site. It will be basic pages with various bits of information about the club and a latest news section that I can utilize the Posts for. The club will need a domain name like “clubname.com”.
  Would it be feasable to use WordPress.com for this entire operation, i.e. registering the domain name and then using wordpress.com to host the site on with a mapping to the the club domain name?

  Any advice, suggestions, pitfalls, etc. gratefully accepted.

  I went to the search lox here > http://en.support.wordpress.com
  I typed “domain mapping” into the searchbox.
  This is the result:
