Well, that’s fixed then. BTW, if your older users are using Firefox, you needn’t blow up your text for them. If they hold CTL and then tap on + (plus sign), they can enlarge the type to whatever size they like (and reverse it back with CTL and – [minus sign]).

log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, close and reopen your browser and try again and see if that helps. I had that problem at one point on my self-hosted blog with 2.5 and that did the trick for me.

Yeah, that new Save button. Make sure you use it BEFORE invoking Preview. I’ve found that if you don’t, the entire post tends not to appear! (I want Save and Continue Editing back!)

I’m pretty irritated with this new dashboard. I’m having a very hard time inserting links and pictures into my blog.
I haven’t messed around to much with anything else to find more bugs, but I’m kind of upset that WordPress went live with the dashboard without working out many of the issues. I understand that there will always be minor glitches with new software, but most of the glitches I see are not minor.
BTW, is anyone else having a problem with putting up a picture and having text next to it?

Editing existing widgets seems to be a chore in that first I cannot see all the text/code properly and I cannot seem to highlight or copy anything within the widget??

My dashboard is disappearing 5 seconds after it loads, a white page appears with some text links, but when I try to go back one page, a tiny smiley appears at the very top left corner, and whenever I try to sign in to my admin or dashboard, it does this. Freakkkkky.
WTF?Also, the new colors were activated without my choosing them…another mystery.

Any help?

Only one of my three WordPress.com sites does it; the other two seem to load OK. Two of the three use the “Kubrick” theme with custom headers; one works, the other doesn’t. Firefox 2.0.0.13 cache and cookies have been wiped several times, with no effect on the error.
What rocket scientist thought it was a good idea to release this beta into a large-scale production environment?

I’m having the exact same issue that earthbornicarus describes. I’m running WinXP Pro/Firefox2.0. The only way I can access my Dashboard right now is with Internet Explorer, and nobody should have to do that. ;)
I have:
Cleared my cache and all my cookies, many times.
Forced a reload, many times.
Exited and restarted Firefox.
Exited and restarted Windows.
Re-installed Firefox.
Upgraded Java.
Cursed. A lot. -
Forgot to mention my OS: Ubuntu Linux 7.04 “Feisty Fawn.” It’s a cross-platform bug: MacOS, WinXP and Linux. Firefox looks like the common factor.

Maybe… my guess was going to be that we are all using the same theme, but no. I’m using Cutline. If I’m really quick, I can click on links on my dashboard before it goes all tiny smiley face and text links on me. I was able to click through to manage a recently uploaded draft, and that worked just fine. Something about the main dashboard is screwy.

Oh, also, I manage two blogs. One works fine, the other: I get the problem we’re talking about. I think it’s something pertaining to that one blog that’s trying to load into the dashboard that messing it up.

I lost a post that I had been working on for hours. When I tried to publish it, it vanished. It’s gone. Also, my co-blogger just asked me if I gave him more privileges, because he now has the ability to add categories. I did not give him more privileges, but apparently WordPress decided he should have more privileges.
I’m very upset. I didn’t even know WordPress was changing things around like this, and it’s causing me huge problems.
