New deals on ebay!

New ad right on top of blog almost covering words.
Must we have this? It is annoying.

WordPress.com is not placing that ad there. When you see ad at the end of blog posts then provided you see this small About These Ads link http://en.wordpress.com/about-these-ads/ what you are seeing is WordPress.com generated advertising.

Got an email from support from Jackie. Email exact statement:
The blue Ebay button is in fact a new ad we are testing out. We are still working out the kinks in terms of placement.
That was my problem, the ad was so high up it was actually interfering with covering some of words up. I was very appreciative for the update from WordPress support. And for also finally fixing my forums account.

Like I said I was very appreciative that they responded quickly because I was clueless why all of a sudden that ebay thing just appeared. At least now I know why.

My response to that was it was the final straw for me. I just went and purchased an No-Ads upgrade for my personal blog. Now both of my blogs will be ad-free blogs.

And I did just recieve that email today with this info. I was having trouble posting to this forum for the last year, everything was immediate topic closed so I’m glad that too was fixed.

So to be clear this “blue ebay button” is something that wordpress is doing and we have no control over that? We cant get rid of this? I check my youtube account and we are not enabled for monetization so youtube did not place these…

There is no way to control what advertising appears on your blog, but you can purchase a No-Ads upgrade that’s renewable annually and it removes all advertising from your blog. I did that for both of my blogs so there is nothing distasteful posted on them.
