New domain

    Hi,

    I have just bought a domain, laviniainlondon.com and it redirects to my old blog, analavinia.wordpress.com. I would like my old blog and the new domain to be two different things. How can I do this?

    Hi Lavinia,

    Every custom domain needs to be attached to a WordPress.com site. If you want it to be separate from analvainia.wordpress.com, we’ll need to create a new site and transfer it over.

    1. Follow these steps to create a new, free WordPress site on your same user account
    2. Visit https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades
    3. Click the ‘Transfer to another site’ link beneath laviniainlondon.com and select your new site

    Once you’ve done all that, analavinia.wordpress.com will be one site and laviniainlondon.com will be on a completely different site.
