new domain

  I would like to use a new domain name. When I looked for it on wp, I received a message that the “site was reserved.” When I typed the site name into my address bar, I received a wp message that the site does not exist.
  Is it possible that someone bailed on the name and it is available?

  When someone registers a username, the corresponding WordPress.com domain name is reserved as well. Only the original account creator has access. Even if someone abandoned the account, the name wouldn’t become available because it’s WordPress.com policy not to recycle names: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
