Hi there,
To purchase your domain, go to your Domains page by selecting My Sites → Manage → Domains and clicking the
Add Domainbutton at the top right. For full instructions on registering a domain name, please visit:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/
Please note that registering a domain with WordPress.com requires the purchase of a paid plan:
I want the same theme and content on my website.
Your site content will not be affected by the purchase, registration, and connection of the domain to your site.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Thank you for you reply. Will my current website address which is followed by xxxx.wordpress.com still work? If my previous customers go to my old website address will they automatically be directed to my new domain name?

I just upgraded to a paid plan and purchased a new .com domain. But my old “.wordpress.com” domain is not directing to my new domain. How can I get my current website content to transfer to my new domain and the old website address (“.wordpress.com”) to automatically redirect to my new domain if my customers go to my old website address ?

Also, my new domain name does not come up with “https://” but my old website with “.wordpress.com” comes up with “https://”.
How can I get my new domain to come up with “https://”? -
https://laserpartrepairusa.com/ seems to be working just fine now, and with the https:// too.
When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, your domain may go to its old location, and you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors.”
If you still have trouble viewing the site after 24 hours have passed, please try clearing your browser’s cache: https://www.refreshyourcache.com/
If that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache: https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html

Thank you for your reply. When I go to my new domain https://laserpartrepairusa.com/ the website content is not there. Will my website content from my old site https://laserpartrepair.wordpress.com/ be automatically transferred to the new domain? Or do I have to do it manually?

Ah ok, it looks like you purchased the plan and domain for the wrong site.
I have moved them now: https://laserpartrepairusa.com/
You’ll need to visit https://wordpress.com/me/purchases to set up auto-renew again though.
