new domain name

  I would like to purchase a domain name which I want to use as my primary url and have traffic redirected from lindalou.wordpress.com to the new address. My question is do I have to contact a company like GoDaddy to find out if the domain is available? Can’t you tell when I attempt to register it with WordPress.com if it’s available?

  Yes, we can tell if your domain is available or not, just start by adding it via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard.
