New Domain Name
-
So at first i had a .co.uk domain name that worldpress said it couldnt transfer. I then registered a .com domain name and tried to transfer this but have been told it cant be done for 61 days!!
Why? i have moved my blog to wordpress from weebly, but am now regretting it as all wordpress try and do is get you to pay for an upgrade.
What can i do about this? its wasted money right now.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please post both URLs here.
When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question

my domain name is
http://www.leon-butler.comI have just bought it, moved my blog across to wordpress and cannot use my new domain name for 61 days which is pointless to me.
And im not being forced into paying to map it and upgrade my account as i do not need the upgrade. -
Hi –
The domain can still be used to show your WordPress.com site. You’ll want to set the name servers to point our way.

Hi
I do this and it takes me to ‘map’ the name and then tries to charge me $96 to upgrade my account…..
-
How do i point the name servers to WP servers?
I already have the registered domain name through a 3rd party.
So complicated.
-
You will need a plan to map the domain to us. The personal option will work just fine. Add it to your account via wordpress.com/pricing/
Then, go to your WordPress.com dashboard and click…
1. My Sites
2. Domains
3. Add
4. Map it!

Mapping requires an upgraded account, which as i said before i will not be doing.
There is no need to do this, i can just point my domain name to wordpress servers.
What are the server names please?
-
You are not able to map a domain or point it to WordPress.com unless you have a plan for that domain.
