  I’d like to upgrade from the free plane but using a new domain name option. I don’t know if all previous URLs will be redirected correctly. Does anybody know anything? Thanks.

  Hi there,

  All links to a free domain your-site.wordpress.com pages and posts will remain active and will be redirect to your new-domain.com post and pages.
  Moreover, your-site.wordpress.com will be still yours but will exist as secondary domain. So if you f.e. decide to transfer new-domain.com elsewhere, your website on WordPress.com will again use that old your-site.wordpress.com.
