New domain name does not appear after being registered and paid

  hi,

  I have registered a new .com domain name and paid for it through wordpress.com, however it does not appear in my domains section.
  how long is the process for the new domain to be appeared in my control panel?

  Have you changed the name servers to the WordPress servers and set it as your primary domain?

  Hi Tandava108, thanks for your response.
  i’m registering the domain name through wordpress, the payment have been taken from my bank account however the domain name is still available. I’m not sure how long wordpress is processing the domain name registration.

  It sounds like you might have just purchased domain mapping and not the domain. Domain mapping only is $13.00 and is only suitable if you have already bought the domain somewhere else. The mapping and purchase costs $18 and will by a domain and map it for you.

  If you have used the wrong option you can cancel the domain mapping for a refund and then buy the domain purchase and mapping. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/ for more details.
