New Domain, new blog…?

  I have a feeling that this is very basic, but can’t work out how to start a new blog with a new domain.

  I have a wordpress domain, sailingyachtg2.wordpress.com with an existing blog using that domain.

  I have registered a second domain with wordpress.com eg abcd.online and want to start an separate blog, unrelated to sailingyachtg2 How do I go about starting the blog on the second registered domain abcd.online.

  Ideally, I want to be able to keep the original live, and connected to it’s primary domain.

  Is this possible please, and how..?

  Hi there!

  You’ll want to go to My Site>Add a new site and follow the prompts on the screen. If you do not want to use your custom domain just yet, you can choose the free address and continue with that.
  You would only map or transfer your custom domain once you’re ready to go live:
