new domain not showing up in settings

  I purchased the domain “galloway6.com” today when I started a new blog. The transaction went through (PayPal) ; but when I go under settings I do not see the new domain as an option. There is a blank domain name that I am able to choose; but I was confused by that. Can you help? ~ Jack
