New domain, now can’t access blog!

    Hi All,

    I bought the domain http://theonlygringoonthebus.com (hosted by wordpress.com) today, and now when I click on the blog title at the top of my dashboard, I get the message “Invalid key. Back”. The word “Back” is a hyperlink which doesn’t work.

    Help? Can my readers still see my blog? How can I see it? When I go to the dashboard, it still has the URL “http://theonlygringoonthebus.wordpress.com/wp-admin/”. I’ve tried logging out, closing browser etc. Now quite concerned!

    Hello there<
    I can see your blog. It’s resolving correctly. It takes 72 hours for this process of URL change to completely change througout the internet and in the case of your blog from what I can see everything is proceeding correctly as expected. The root blog URL here at wordpress.com will continue to appear in your browser. This is not an issue.

    Hi timethief, thanks for the info. In addition, friends have told me that they’ve left comments, but they haven’t appeared on my Dashboard. Is this also normal?

    Are you saying that within 72 hours, everything should be transferred and the Dashboard and links should be working correctly (and comments appearing as expected)?

    Your site also resolves correctly for me.

    It take a bit of time for your change in the name servers to migrate to the far corners of the internet – also caching of some information can take some time to sort out – for some reason when I have changed names my friends that have never visited the old or new site name see the most current URL but I am the last one to see the correct URL, so there seems to also be some local caching of addresses.

    Hi All,

    It’s now been six days since my domain name change and I’m still regularly seeing the “Invalid key. Back” message when I navigate around my blog’s pages. In addition, the comments my friends told me they’d left have still not appeared.

    The comments getting lost is not the end of the world, but I really need to be able to navigate around my own blog!

    One thing you might try is to clear your computer DNS cache. Since I don’t know what OS you are using, just search on google for “clear dns cache xp” (substitute your OS for xp and then follow the instructions.
