New domain offline for long time

  I just bought the $17 domain mapping thing to go from thumbtack4k.wordpress.com to whatnottodoasawriter.com. I knew there would be a bit of time before the new site could go up … but it’s been thirty minutes and no I’m getting antsy. How long does this typically take? Server not found is like dead air on a radio.

  Patience grasshopper – it can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to reach the far corners of the internet. Changes usually start sooner and there is the problem of local caching and on and on.

  You can watch the changes at the link – many routers have already been updated.
