New domain problem

  I registered a new domain via wp.com but unfortunately being a newbie realized I rather give another host a try. Instead of pointing the nameservers, I decided to cancel the domain to see if I could re-register again soon. Unfortunately, I cannot do that, either through the new host nor wp.com. Please help, I have to have this domain name!!
