New Domain that we cannot transfer but want to go back to our wordpress

  How can we get our domain to connect to our wordpress. I do not want a premium plan. I just want to connect the domain to my wordpress. It is a new domain so I cannot transfer it yet.

  Hi there,

  To connect your own domain to your WordPress.com site, you need to use the Domain Connection upgrade included in all our paid plans:

  https://wordpress.com/en/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

  That’s included in our Personal Plan as well, so you don’t specifically need Premium.

  Shouldn’t the domain connect after I change the DNS or am I required to pay for a plan?

  Changing the DNS points the domain to our servers from your domain provider, but you also need to domain connection upgrade on our end to map the domain to your specific site on our servers. The domain connection upgrade is included in all our paid plans.
