New Editor

I am finding the new editor rather laggy when I try to put in links to places in my blog and after putting in a link it automatically puts that sentence onto a new line and i would really really love it if i could just type, like i am here, and the line goes underneath the line above instead of a line below.

I won’t be using the new editor anytime soon as am really not happy with how laggy it makes it for me to type stuff!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Can you please explain what you mean by putting in links? Are you pasting links directly into a block where you’re adding text, pasting links on a completely new line/block, hyperlinking text you already typed in using the Link button in the editor? There are many different ways to add links to your content, and in order to investigate this we need to know exactly what you’re doing so we can see if we can replicate the issue on our end.

I have pages linked to certain places, like designer // sponsors page, so I go in there find the link I have already saved there and when I copy and paste it onto the page/block am currently writing it on it forces that sentence onto a new line. It never done it with the old style.

But the laggy feel I get from the new editor is when I go back to a certain word I can’t always highlight the whole word – I know it’s not my mouse settings as I only have these issues with the new editor.

I also tend to write my blog stuff out on a note card first before I put it into WordPress as for some reason it won’t let me put a sentence under a sentence.

    So instead of this:
This is how I like it.
    So that the blog flows.

    I get this:

This is how I don’t like it.

As it doesn’t flow right for me.

I know I could bullet-point it, but it’s not the style I want for the blog. Though if it makes things easier for me I might try that way instead. :)
