Hi there, it hasn’t changed from previous iterations here on WordPress.com.
Regardless of Editor, if your posts haven’t been published yet, you’ll find them in the Drafts tab of your Posts dashboard.

To Edit a draft post, you can either click on the Post title or click the three dots at the right and pick Edit from the menu that opens.Post back here if you have other questions about this and let us know the address of the site you are working on.

Hello again, I just had a light bulb moment. :)
Are you referring to clicking the WRITE button that drops you into the Classic Editor and there in the header you’d see a circle with a number that when you clicked on it it would open a list of your current draft posts?
You are correct that this feature doesn’t exist in the Block Editor, but you can still get to your draft posts via the Posts Dashboard as I mentioned above.

Hi Jennifer
It is sorted now thank you but tell me, if I go into wp/admin I can use something similar to the classic editor but would this allow me to publish my masterpiece once written,Thank you
Steve

Hi Steve, you can publish from WP Admin Classic Editor when you are writing directly online. You only need to click the Publish button in the Publish module there.
(screenshot removed by mod)Keeping in mind that things are in flux right now, I’m also going to flag Staff about the WRITE button/Drafts issue. In my main site’s Home dashboard, I see the WRITE button with the number of drafts there, but clicking it brings me to my site’s block editor with no reference or access to the available drafts. Thanks for bringing this up!

Hi! Clarifying on this, you mean the “Write” button in the upper right in the toolbar or something else? I’m looking on my main dashboard page in my test blog and not seeing that. I see a quick drafts section; is that what you’re referring to?
Just want to be sure we’re on the same page. If you could send a screenshot that would be great. Here’s the closest thing I’ve got in wp-admin:

Hi @supernovia, My last reply was in answer to Steve’s last question about publishing in the WP Admin Editor, but his question about accessing the Drafts was really about what happens when you click the WRITE button in the Admin bar.
Clicking the Write button there lands you in the MySite Editor. If your editor there is the Classic Editor (for the moment), in the top bar on the left side you’ll see a circle that has a number in it. Clicking on that number displays a drop down menu of your recent draft posts and you can select one, which loads in the Editor and you can continue editing.
(screenshot removed by mod)If your MySite editor is the Block Editor, however, there’s no corresponding feature to access the draft posts in the Block Editor.
Having said that, if I’m on any page of the MySite dashboard, the WRITE button there shows the number of draft posts and one can click on that number to select and load a draft post for editing.
(screenshot removed by mod)Hope that’s clearer. :)

Hello again, given Steve’s feedback in his initial post concerning accessing draft posts directly in the Editor, I think this would be a useful addition to the Block Editor interface. Thanks.
