  I use Firefox (the latest) and I find that getting into the ‘new improved’ to be inordinately slow both to edit and to get into. This is the reason I never use it (other than on the iOS version) on the browser.

  For example…

  Old Editor Timing: 6.25 seconds to begin editing, 16 seconds to page load complete

  New Editor Timing: 14 seconds to see the subject line, 20 seconds for the editor to appear with page load complete

  This new editor is frustratingly slow to load and causes my browser to lag badly when typing, to the point that it’s practically unusable. I’d rather begin editing faster rather than later even if I don’t press submit right away. The old editor also does not lag my browser when typing.

  For this severe performance regression reason, I will continue to use the old editor. If the intent is to replace the old editor (even in wp-admin) with the new one, please fix these performance issues first.

  Are there any initiatives to fix this performance problem? If not, please just revert back to the old editor and do away with the allegedly ‘new and improved’, but in reality ‘slow and regressed’ editor.
