New editor has bugs

Wordpress added a new editor that has lots of bugs, especially around images. Captions show up in the editor view but not in the post. Also, there’s no good way to view an updated blog post – when I publish a post, a link briefly appears, but then disappears. Then you have to hunt around with several clicks to view your post. Why did you guys create something worse than what was there before? The slideshow gallery also looks completely different and huge. There seems to be no way to reduce the image sizes to a reasonable size.

Can you tell us the URL of the site you need help with?
Captions show up in the editor view but not in the post.
Can you give a link to a post where this is the case? And are you speaking of captions on single images, or images in a gallery block?
Also, there’s no good way to view an updated blog post – when I publish a post, a link briefly appears, but then disappears.
On a published post, the post link can be found under the Permalink section in the editor sidebar:

Can you give a link to a page where you used the slideshow block where it doesn’t look right? And do you have a link to a page where it does look right, so we can compare the two?
