New Editor problems
-
I might be the only one, but I miss the old editor. I don’t think the new one is as intuitive or easy to use as the old one.
And there are a few problems — like all my categories don’t show up in the dropdown menu. I only have through the letter c (about ten or so) and then some other show up under the tag drop-down (even though I generally don’t use tags). So I have to go to my blog, look at my category cloud to remember all the ones I’ve used, and then go back and enter them in (after which they show up as if they had been in the dropdown the whole time).
please don’t take away the old editor until the new one is better! Thanks! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can use the classic editor on your dashboard as I do. See here > Dashboard > Posts > Add New

Hi Joannie,
Thanks for sharing that feedback. Right now, the new editor displays the top 100 tags and categories used on your blog. (That’s why if you use a specific category or tag again, so it becomes one of those top 100, you might see it appear in the editor the next time you create a post.) Our developers tried to make more than the top 100 available, but it really slowed down the editor for people and they are still investigating ways around that. I’ll let them know that this is a concern for you!
There are no plans to remove the old editor at this point, so you can safely continue to use it for the time being. :) If there’s anything more I can do to help, please let me know.

Thanks, Rachel! Actually, I didn’t have nearly 100 showing — more like the first six or seven (alphabetically).
But thanks for letting me know there aren’t plans to remove the old editor! That really helps!
