I have registered my wordpress account to my home email address. I have created a specific email address with my service provider for the purpose of responding to correspondence from the blog and whish to utilise this new email address. I have tried to use the email forwarding service that wordpress offers but could not find the tab referred to in the help section.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there! Email forwarding is only available if you have added a
custom domain to your blog, and you have not already set up a third party email service for that domain.I see that you do not have a Custom Domain registered with us — do you have one elsewhere? If so, take a look at this support document:

If you’ve already set up a custom email address with a third party, you’ll have to set up your mail a bit differently here at WordPress.com:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/

Thank you for the follow up. I had already set up another email account with our usual email provider. Does that mean I have to add a custom domain in order to use the new email address or do I just follow the instructions in the link domains/add email?

Hey Maxine, If the email address you’ve set up with your email provider contains a custom domain (ie. info@maxine.com), then you can follow the instructions here:

If you wish your email address to contain a custom domain like (email visible only to moderators and staff), and don’t yet have a domain registered, you would have to add a Custom Domain and then you could use WordPress.com email forwarding.

On the other hand, you might not need either one of these services if the email you set up is something like (email visible only to moderators and staff). The links above are only necessary if you’re using an email address with an @customdomain extension.
