  Hi.
  found a changed smiley face in the enterprise theme on my blog.
  the new html code of the element appears to be….
  <span class="wp-smiley wp-emoji wp-emoji-smile" title=":)">:)</span>

  Are you referring to this?

  

  You can turn off automatic emoticon conversion by unchecking the box next to “Convert emoticons like :-) and :-P to graphics on display” under Settings > Writing.
