New follower not visible in my list

  Hello there,

  I have some new followers, but some don’t get through and are not visible in my followers list.
  I asked the follower if she has received a confirmation and she did, but I didn’t get a confirmation and her email address isn’t showing in my followers list. I had other new followers recently and they didn’t have any problems, although it took a while (a day) before I got a confirmation e-mail.

  Basically, my question is; why haven’t I received a confirmation of this new follower? And how can I check?

  I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Will you please provide a couple of usernames for those WordPress.com bloggers who did not receive the emails as well as a couple of email addresses for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts? The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them. After you do that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  How do you hide email addresses?

  The forum software will hide them from everyone but WordPress.com staff automatically. Just type the addresses normally, and I’ll help you figure out what’s happening.

  I know for sure she registered as a follower, she got a confirmation, but didn’t and her email address isn’t showing in my list. Maybe there are others too.

  I see a subscription pending for (email visible only to moderators and staff) (without a period). That means the user signed up but didn’t click the “confirm subscription” link in the email we sent after they signed up. If she can find the email and click the link she’ll be subscribed. Otherwise she can signup again and get a new confirmation email.

  Hello again,

  so I ask this person to try it again and now her emailaddress appears in my list but I still haven’t received a confirmation email. I did get a confirmation with the other followers.
  So I guess she’s a follower now, but no confirmation.

  I just hope there aren’t any others I’m not aware off, cause this person told she became a follower.

  I don’t see anymore recent subscribers who started the following process but didn’t finish. You are all set!
