New Follower Notifications Not Sending to New Email (Still sending to old email)

I registered WordPress with email address#1, but recently went into account settings and changed my “Email Address” to email address#2.
Whenever someone likes my blog, a notification is sent to address#2, the correct address. Whenever someone follows my blog, however, a notification is sent to address#1, which should not happen. How is this even happening if in Account Settings my Email Address is set to address#2?? I log in using address#2 as well, so I don’t really know what is causing this problem or how I can fix it.

There are actually two different places you can set your email address for WordPress.com:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/
It sounds like you changed one but not the other.

I’ve checked both Account Settings and Users -> Personal Settings. In both cases the email is set to the correct address, and STILL some notifications are sent to the old address while others are sent to the new one.

Can you tell if there is anything consistent about what emails are sent to the old address? Are they all from a particular blog? Are they from WordPress.com itself (regarding upgrades or whatnot)?

All emails sent to the old address are notifications about someone new following my blog. I have only one blog; the one linked in my original post.
My new address receives all other email notifications. Only new follower notifications go to my old address.
