New followers suddenly stopped.

  I was getting 3-6 new followers daily until about a month ago. They suddenly stopped completely except for one. What happened?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Problem solved, apparently. Followers suddenly jumped by 100 or so.

  Hmm. The number of followers jumped, but then stopped again. It would be OK if only I knew that was how things would be.

  OK, so once a month or so the followers get updated? I’d be happy with that, but I would like to know what to expect.

  Are you getting new follower notifications and just not seeing the number of followers in your stats go up? Or are you just not seeing any new followers/subscribers at all?

  For nearly a month I got no new followers at all, after months of getting several daily. Then I got one, with email notification. Then the number of followers updated by a hundred (I think). Then I got one more, with email notification. Perhaps that’s reality, but it seems unlikely.

  I’m not seeing anything amiss from the backend. I was able to follow your blog and I can see myself show up in the list of followers.

  I think for whatever reason, your number of new followers has just slowed down recently.

  OK, thanks for the confirmation. Disappointing that it dropped from 100 per month to 1, but oh well…
