New forum topic posted as coming from "admin" 42 yrs ago

  I just posted a new forum topic, and I was shocked that the used who supposedly posted it was “admin” and that it was already closed for comments. When I clicked on the link to my forum post, the page said:

  This topic has posts

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It’s a rogue glitch that occurs from time to time. Please simply post what you need help with into this thread.

  Earlier today we had a spike in our stats: 424 views in one hour (over 300 hits on our home page and over 100 hits on a blog post published in September). This would be great news except we don’t really believe it. We belong to the Nature Blog Network and according to them we have had 70 unique views so far today (we are listed on this page).

  So I’m thinking something went really wrong with stats. Perhaps the software is mistakenly logging bots? Is there any way to check on this?

  Like most bloggers we hope to gradually increase our hits over time, but I suspect that today will be forever identified as our busiest day ever.
