new Gutenberg editor not updating

    When I try to use the new Gutenberg editor and make changes to my website pages, I get the error message that the site is not updating and I am likely offline. This is not the case, and when I turn on the Classic Editor plugin my updates work. How do I fix this so I can use the new editor? I have updated my website and all plugins and themes.
