NEW HELP Renew my Domain
-
I am desperately trying to renew my domain. I’ve been on the phone with everyone–wildwestdomains, godaddy and bluehost. It all points back to you but WordPress.com doesn’t have a customer service number.
I didn’t receive ANY notices from you and had selected my plan as auto-renew so I don’t know what the problem is.
I’d tried your customer service online expert and have not gotten an answer. This is ridiculous.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I would be pleased to help you but I have no starting point, as you failed to post the URL of the domain. Please do that now.

I did not receive any documentation from WordPress.com at all to renew and I had signed up for AUTO Renew, per my receipt from 2016

All www URLs on mapped domains seamlessly redirect to the same content under the URL without the redundant “www” which has not been required for over a decade. The software will continue to strip out the redundant and unnecessary www if you are entering it.
Be aware that www is an old protocol from way back when the web was new and everything was under separate server hardware. www (www.example.com) was the web server, mail (mail.example.com) was the mail server, ftp (ftp.example.com) was the FTP server, print (print.example.com) was the print server, etc.
These days, everything is run under the web server, making www. redundant and a waste of four characters.
This thread is tagged for Staff who work their way through all threads tagged with modlook in datestamp order from the earliest dates to the most recent ones. Patience is required when waiting.

Hi there,
The domain, kelleyferro.com, expired on 20 February.
That domain has already been removed from our system and is currently in redemption with our registrar. It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. I’ll need you to agree to that fee before I can get the recovery process started.
Automatic renewal of that domain failed on 24 January, and we sent you an email on the same day to notify you of this. We sent several more emails during February that the domain need to be renewed. Please check that those did not land in the Spam folder in your gmail account, or perhaps the Social or Updates folders.

Hi Kokkieh,
Let’s renew and recover. I do agree to that price. How soon can we do this? Let me know how to submit payment.

I’ve sent you a payment link via email. I’ll be notified once we receive payment and then I can email our registrar to restore the domain. That usually takes a day or two on their end, depending on the volume of requests they receive.
-
Thank you! I’ll do it right now. I can’t get any emails and my business is suffering. You should see it in one minute

I’ve emailed our registrar, so all we can do now is wait for them. Restoring a domain is a manual process on their end, so we’re waiting for someone to see my email and press a button.
I’ve already added the required upgrades back to your account on our end, so the moment they restore the domain it should start working again.
-
Okay thank you! You are a lifesaver. Should I call them too to expedite this or no? I am assuming this is Wild West Domains.

Calling them won’t help. There is a specific process they need to follow in this, and from experience I can tell you they’ll just refer you back to us should you call.
If we’re lucky and their support volume is not too high your domain might be up again within a matter of hours, but there’s no way that we can force it :)

Your domain has just been restored by our registrar. It’s already showing your Bluehost site for me, and your email should also be active again within the next few hours.
I see you have G Suite email on the domain. The DNS records you have set up at Bluehost appear to be in order if I query them, but should your email not start working again please contact Bluehost that they can just check on their end.
